Feature: Expenses Tokens
In addition to all the standard Background features found in the Players Handbook, the Tlecia variant of this background possesses a number of tokens provided by their Guild equal to half your character level (rounded down if an odd number). If you cannot afford an item or items you wish to procure from another merchant, you can choose to burn one of these tokens for an equivalent value of 500gp per token. Your guild will cover your expenses, but your spent tokens can only be replaced by visiting a guild office in a Free City, and at the cost of 500gp per-replenished token. If you need to replenish your tokens and do not have the coin to do so at the time, your Guild may assign you specific tasks to complete in order to earn them back through services to the Guild instead.
