Dragon Prince

For the newest wow-themed campaign I'm creating, this background is for RED DRAGONS ONLY. It is also for MALE RED DRAGONS ONLY. if you want to create a Female one, check out my Dragon Princess background. (For those of you that don't know what wow is, it is a video game that has some similarities to dnd. Its full name is world of Warcraft. If you want to learn more about it, look it up.) Anyway, dragons of this background are often somewhat selfish and spoiled. They also tend to think they're better than everyone else (even other dragons). Then again, most dragons think they're better than everyone else... Well, either way, this background is more common than the princess version but still quite rare. Anyway, in this world, for a dragon to become queen they must defeat the current queen in a battle to the death. Whoever survives becomes Queen, and the current queen of the dragons knows this. She loves the few daughters she's had, of course, but she doesn't want too many in case one of them decides to challenge her at an early age. After all, the more heirs she has, the higher the chance of one of them killing her to take her place. She tries really hard to make sure all her daughters get along, since dragon princesses with sisters usually fight each other to become queen. Let's just say there have been a lot of dragon queens who's first act as queen is to poison their sisters. Anyway, in this world, Male dragons cannot rule their tribes, only females. Female dragons may still fall in love with (and maybe even marry) a male dragon, but the male dragon only has as much power as the queen gives them, so if the queen is mad and wants to banish him and take away all his power, she can, and there's nothing the (former) king can do to get his power back. Well, the king might get his power back if the queen gives it back to him, but otherwise he is pretty much powerless. If the queen orders the king to live somewhere or do something, they have to do that. Unless the queen specifically says he doesn't have to follow orders, of course. The queen can always change her mind, though. Anyways, some dragon queens in the past have sometimes either killed off all her heirs or never had any in the first place because they don't want one of their daughters to kill them in a challenge for the throne, but the current queen of the red dragons seems like she would never do that. The most well-known princess of the red dragons is the Middle Sister, who's name is Ruby. Although her full name is Rubistrasza. She is somewhat shy, however, and prefers to stay in the palace at all times. Although not exactly in the palace, she's almost always in her favorite courtyard. Her bedroom has a window that overlooks her favorite courtyard. Her favorite courtyard is also the biggest courtyard. Ruby never leaves the palace unless she's forced to. Her mother, The queen of the red Dragons, has made Ruby go to a few important events over the years, but hasn't in a while. After all, Ruby is Alexstrasza's chosen heir. No one knows why she chose Ruby to be the next queen, but no one dares question her. Ruby is the Middle Sister in a group of five sisters. She also has seven brothers. That may seem like a lot of children to most humanoids, but for a dragon it's actually a fairly small number. The oldest sisters name is Rosestrasza (Rose-a-straw-sa) . The Older sister is called Valestrasza (Val-a-straw-sa). The Middle Sister (Ruby) is called Rubistrasza (Rube-a-straw-sa). The Younger Sister is called Candistrasza (Cand-a-straw-sa). The Youngest Sister is called Furastrasza (Fur-a-straw-sa). The Oldest Sister goes by Rose, the Older sister goes by Valentine, the middle sister goes by Ruby, The Younger sister goes by Candy, and the Youngest Sister goes by Fury. The oldest brother is Called Garnet, the Older brother is called Rage, The Old brother is called Flame, The Middle brother is called Soar, The Young brother is called Topaz, The Younger brother is called Copper, and the youngest brother is called Raspberry.
