This background is for people in the Military. This specific version is the second highest rank, the second-in-command position. Characters with this background have fought several battles and are fairly strong and tough. They have fought somewhat hard to earn their place at the near top, and will not give up their position easily. The benefits you gain from being the beta are listed below.
1. Anywhere you go, fellow soldiers will recognize you and will help you or your party. If they are a lower rank, they will follow your orders. If they are a higher rank, they might order you around. They might not help you, since they'll only help you if they want to.
2. They will provide shelter for you or your party when needed.
3. If you do something wrong, like steal something, they will not hide you. Instead, they might turn you in.
