You have come upon the burden of carrying a dangerous magical item. You have taken a vow in the past never to use or let anyone else use this item. Many people may know of and seek the power you are defending. Adventuring is in some way the only way to continue your devotion to your vow. In years past you may have lived in a single place all your life or have been traveling in hiding.
- Skill Proficiencies: Arcana and one of: Athletics, History, Investigation, Insight, Intimidation
- Languages: Common and a language of choice
- Equipment: Some kind of medium armor, a pouch with 20g, any magic item that can be reasonably carried.
Feature: Telepathic Paranoia
You fear for the safety of the magical object at every passing second. You can inherently sense when it has been touched or taken from you by someone or something else and can always detect when it is nearby (around 50ft of you). You can also sense malicious intent within 5ft of you, allowing you to get the jump on potential pickpockets.
