Throughout your life you have been driven by curiosity in one field or another. The ability to pickup patterns and trades much easier than the normal person. You are capable of being a prodigy when devoted to one field, or to be well-rounded in multiple fields that you pursue. You have likely studied in schools or been self taught in some way or form, what you know, you do not let go of, and what you learn is your achievement. You are a student, constantly learning and yearning for more knowledge, whether it be of history, the arts, use of weapons and armor, or the crafts.
- Skill Proficiencies: As a Student you gain Proficiency in Learning! Just kidding, have it in Arcana or Religion and History, Investigation or Medicine.
- Tool Proficiencies: As you have been a very studious little person and could have been exposed to any number of tools, you gain Proficiency in two tools or instruments of your choice. But Woodcarvers and Smiths are recommended for utility play styles. while an instrument and Gaming set are recommended for playing with the DM and getting unexpected outcomes.
- Languages: You know common and one other language. If you want to speak to devils, keep in mind you had to learn it from somewhere and that may have had an effect on your character; same with other monstrous or rare languages.
- Equipment: While you are a student, you cannot have everything. You have the basics of what you've learned so far such as;
- 1 tool you are proficient in and a Scholars pack.
- Both tools you are proficient with.
- A Scholars pack and a simple melee weapon
Careful who you learn from, for they can influence you greatly whether in a positive or negative way. But here are some ideas for those of who need it.
