Due to a mishap at sea, you have been washed ashore on an island. If only it was deserted – instead it is inhabited by something that hungers for your death. You have learned to survive amidst these harsh conditions by being constantly alert and self-sufficient.
- Skill Proficiencies: Perception; choice of Animal Handling, Nature, Stealth, or Survival.
- Tool Proficiencies: Vehicles (water); your choice of cook’s utensils, herbalism kit, or woodcarver’s tools.
- Equipment: A set of common clothes, an empty glass bottle, fishing tackle, a set of tools (matching your chosen proficiency), a random trinket (from the Trinkets table in chapter 5 of the Player’s Handbook), and a pouch containing 5 gp.

The only way to stay alive in such a place is to be constantly on your guard. You gain the Alert feat.
