You are, or were, a paladin in life. You swore to defend the helpless, strike down the greater evil or uphold the natural order but failed to do so. You fled from a battle, took a bribe or let a necromancer grow to power, regardless of the oath you made it has been broke and the powers from it lost.

Now with no oath and having betrayed those who looked up to you, what comes next? Will you seek to reswear your oath, or swear a new one? Or will you leave your paladin life behind you, seeking strength elsewhere?

Skill Proficiencies: Insight, Survival
Languages: One of your choice
Equipment: A holy symbol (the last thing of your old life you still own), a memento from the last person you saved, a set of common clothes, and a pouch containing 5 gp.

Feature: Long Road to Redemption

Whether you seek to reclaim your oath or leave it behind you, the road you walk now is a long an difficult one. Those who look into your eyes can see that you have faced judgement and that you are now dedicated to redeem yourself. Though they might shame you, Commoners will extend a courtesy to you and do their utmost to help you on your path of redemption. Unless you have shown yourself to be a danger to them, they will even take up arms to fight alongside you, should you find yourself facing an enemy alone.  People who remember your good deeds will be open to housing and feeding you out of pity, but there might be those who scorn or see you as they would see an army deserter and attempt to bring you to justice.
