Daewar Mountain Dwarf Image

The Daewar, known as the "Dearest," are a proud and devout clan of mountain dwarves who have long stood as allies to the noble Hylar clan. Renowned for their fervent nature and deep religious convictions, the Daewar are often seen as the moral backbone of dwarven society. Their commitment to their faith and the law is unwavering, and they are frequently found in roles that uphold these values—whether as healers, protectors, or keepers of sacred traditions.

However, the passionate nature of the Daewar has also led to internal conflicts, sometimes fracturing the unity of the clan. Despite these challenges, Daewar warriors are celebrated for their wisdom, discipline, and respect for order. They play crucial roles in maintaining public safety, preserving dwarven ceremonies, and safeguarding sacred texts. The Chaos War brought great tragedy to the Daewar, as internal strife left them unprepared for the onslaught of Chaos forces, resulting in devastating losses.

Today, the Daewar are represented in Thorbardin by Thane Granite Glitterstone, while in Pax Tharkas, General Otaxx Shortbeard speaks for the clan. In the ancient kingdom of Thoradin, Severus Stonehand rules over the Daewar and all the dwarves of that realm, continuing the legacy of this zealous and respected clan.
