The Daergar, or "Deepest," are a clan of dark dwarves who dwell far below the surface, deep within the earth where sunlight never reaches. Physically imposing and relentless in their pursuits, the Daergar are known for their strength, brutality, and tireless dedication to their craft. Many spend their entire lives working the forges, crafting weapons and armor of unmatched quality, or mining the deepest veins of precious metals and gems.

Once loyal to the ruling Hylar clan, generations of resentment have festered among the Daergar due to the Hylar's dominance in Thorbardin. This bitterness has led the Daergar to distance themselves from their surface-dwelling kin, often aligning with the equally secretive Theiwar clan. Their dark nature and affinity for the deepest parts of the world have shaped them into a clan that values strength, endurance, and the relentless pursuit of power, often at the cost of others.
