Sið Master Image

The Sið have have a fierce reputation steeped in mystery and death. They weild Truth in ways that all but compel Calamity to follow. They're an odd bunch, to be certain, but make no mistake the Masters are real G's. With a simple handshake they can form an alliance, or topple an empire. With a single stroke of their quill they can shake the foundations of an economy, or bend the fabric of reality.

Whether as healers, mentors, builders, combat support, or simply the cook for the night... Masters of the Sið Academy and their allies honor the traditions of The Hermit, remaining faithfully duty bound to service in the shadows.

The Masters are sages, scholors, and academics of all sorts at heart, so it's not uncommon to notice an eccentricity or two about them. Their wide range of studies into the Divine and Arcane throughout their travels makes them ideal references for obscure facts and seemingly random knowledge. They're good at finding information about most subjects and processes studiable, and if they can't it's a safe bet that the Archives at the Sið Academy have a few notes on it.

Sið Masters, whether traveling or committed to the Academy, are Archivists of artifacts and lore, so it wouldn't be uncommon for one to wander into town seeking deeper understanding or to collect an item for safe keeping at the Academy. Protection of knowledge is crucial to The Hermit's work, but not at the expense of the lives of those who would grow studying it. Master Sið would sooner accept a setback on their Way as a mentor and guardian of the misunderstood potential of the leaders of the future.

Feature: Brotherhood of Fear

Whether your career remains at the Academy or calls you to traveling for learning and expansion, you are a member of a Brotherhood that makes good better. Your network is vast and you typically won't have trouble finding help with most things. People generally don't know how to approach the Brothrhood as a whole, and the Sið especially like that.

The Brotherhood garners varrying opinions wherever its members may travel, so local authorities may not always appreciate or respond well to the presence of a Sið in their cities if your origin is discovered. Calamity follows your steps, but The Hermit requires discretion n dedication. Lean into the Brothrhood as a whole and you'll have no issues with the locals. With that, you will find safety and sanctuary anywhere the marks of the Brotherhood can be found, and will always have a place to return to should the need or desire arise.

Iron Sides. As a Shadow and Brother of The Hermit, you are his Sword, Shield, and Keeper... and he is yours. Your woes are his. His successes are yours. You share the task of safeguarding a most sacred flame and sharing it wherever it may be needed.

Pact Mark. Your phalanx is perfect, but your intimate knowledge of The Hermit has transformed your relationship with and duty to him. Your Shadow mark reflects this transformation and it identifies you as more than simply an ally, but a trusted Brother. It simply appears as ð.
