Your work for house Vol took advantage of your strength and speed. Were you a mercenary fighting in the Last War? A guardian protecting your family’s assets and interests? A laborer moving crates in a warehouse? You’re a dragonmarked heir and still have good standing with your family, but you find the freewheeling life of an adventurer to be more compelling than following all the rules and regulations of one of the house guilds.
House Vol was eradicated in about 1600 YBK in the main timeline. Did you arrive there from a timeline where that event never took place due to Xorian shenanigans? Does your game take place in said alternate timeline, or maybe just before that event? If you're in the main timeline after the event, does your existence lead to diplomatic tensions with Aerenal and/or Argonessen (and its spy network, the Chamber)?

Posted Sep 2, 2025Love this. One thing the spells associated with the dragon mark, I had to add them separately as a feat in DND beyond, NBD, but then when they appeared they had lower spell DCs. I can just use my own, but I was wondering if this was intentional, like the Mark was weaker as it is a lost mark.
