Arena Combatant Image

Regardless of the means you came to The Arena–whether by conscription or your own free will–you are now a combatant fighting at the pleasure of the masses under the watchful eye of the Arena Master.

Skill Proficiencies: Three of your choice
Tool Proficiencies: Two types of tool sets
Languages: Two of your choice
Equipment: A set of common clothes, one simple weapon, and a trinket from your time before entering The Arena

Feature: At the Whim of the Crowd

Due to your battles in The Arena, you have gained a reputation with the viewing crowd, for good or for ill.  During a battle in The Arena, you may entreat the crowd to rally for you.  Roll a d100, then add your Prestige to the number rolled.

  • If you roll a 100 on the die, roll 1d10 and add the result to your next attack roll or saving throw in that battle.
  • If the total is greater than 75, roll 1d6 and add the result to your next attack or saving throw during that battle.
  • If the total is less than 25, roll 1d6 and subtract the result from your next attack or saving throw during that battle.
  • If you roll a 1 on the die, roll 1d10 and subtract the result from your next attack roll or saving throw in that battle.

This feature stacks with spells and other effects that work in a similar manner, such as the bless and bane spells and Bardic Inspiration.  You may use this feature once per battle.

Once you reach Victor rank on the Leaderboard, your d100 roll always counts as having rolled 75, and you may use this feature twice per battle, but only once during a turn.  If you become the Arena Champion, your d100 roll always counts as having rolled 100.
