You grew up as an inventor's apprentice, whether they're your father or maybe someone you sought out to be your teacher. either way you grew up buried in technology, helping an inventor create marvelous machines and technological wonders. learning from your mentor you gained your own knowledge of tech, you picked up on seeing the small things, an eye for details and a brain full of creative ideas.

Depending on how well known your teacher is you may have strong connections in the scientific community and even some nobility, you may also be rejected in certain places, especially those who have strong connections with the earth. if your teacher isn't well known and is more local you may get along better with the common folk, helping them with your technological prowess will be a strong way to gain their favor.
