You were a simple little creature. You were running through the forest either toward your prey or away from you predator. When all of a sudden you got trapped. You were sedated and taken to a place of unknown origin. You wake up only to see a Wizard with his back to you. You feel a little strange but don't pay it any attention. You then see the Wizard turn around and look at you with malicious intent, he starts to raise his wand and you black out. These sort of things continue for the next 16 years. As these years continue you see the result of what this Wizard is doing. You see after these 16 years that you have grown exponentially. This was never a fun experience so you take your revenge on the now old Wizard, and set out on your own. You are now working by yourself, looking for either friends or foes.
- Skill Proficiencies: You are very skilled with one handed weapons, and your own survival instincts. You move quickly through the forests of your old home, and you surprisingly can speak the languages of the animals!
- Tool Proficiencies: Throughout the years of you living and surviving on your own you have learned how to make your own weapons and cook your own meals.
- Languages: With you being a previous creature of your home land you know how to speak to any kind of creature/beast. You also have learned how to speak common through the Wizard of your past.
- Equipment: You have learned how to use 1 handed weapons quite proficiently, weapons such as short swords, rapiers, crossbows, and whips.
With you being a creature of dark forests or caves, you have grown to adapt to the dark areas of your land. You have night vision and can see in any place that you are.
Suggested Characteristics
It is wise for people with this background to use either smith or cooking. It is also wise that they use one handed melee or ranged weapons. Skills such as acrobatics, survival, stealth, perception, and investigation are the best for a character like this.
