You were lost, far from the Material Plane, for what felt like an eternity—or perhaps only a moment to you. Whether you were trapped in the Feywild, the Shadowfell, the Far Realm, or somewhere else entirely, your existence became intertwined with an alien realm detached from the norms of mortal life. Now you’ve returned to the Material Plane, but the world has moved on without you and centuries have passed by. Loved ones are gone, familiar places have changed beyond recognition, and no one remembers your name.You carry knowledge of what once was—and possibly secrets of other realms—but the feeling of displacement and abandonment lingers. To the world, you are a stranger; To you, it is a strange new world.

 
Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from: Investigation, Insight, Arcana, Survival, or Perception
Tool Proficiencies: Choose one artisan’s tool or gaming set.
Languages: You learn one common language of your choice and one language tied to the realm you were trapped in, such as Sylvan for the Feywild or Deep Speech for the Far Realm. If there is none, you may choose another common language.
Equipment:
  • A token or trinket from your time away (e.g., a flower from the Feywild, a blackened shard of stone from the Shadowfell, or an Underdark fungi sample)
  • A set of outdated traveler's clothes
  • A Map (Likely outdated)

Feature: Relic of The Past

Due to your time away, you have a pretty unique perspective on history. Given that this "History" likely was not history before you disappeared. This means theres a very good chance when someone is talking about the past, you've likely got to experience it when it was the present. You have an advantage on all History checks for events, important figures, locations, or artifacts prior to 100 years ago. Additionally once per session, at the DM's descretion, you may treat one History check as if you rolled a Natural 20. The information given will be as if you were there when it happened or know the location when it was still new.

1 Don't ask what happened while I was gone. It'll make me upset.
