Most regular people, as a rule, do not become adventurers or particularly powerful. Work with your DM to figure out why someone, so seemingly normal, has been called to action and how they developed their abilities.
- Skill Proficiencies: You gain proficiency in 2 skills of your choice.
- Tool Proficiencies: A type of artisan's tool, musical instrument, or gaming set.
- Languages: You speak, read, and write one language of your choice.
- Equipment: Common clothes, a set of dice or playing cards, a trinket, and a pouch containing 5gp.
Even when fully geared up there’s something about you that just doesn’t feel like a hero or adventurer. People often don’t pay much attention to you. In situations where adventurers and heroes are looked down upon or actively hated, people treat you like a liked local at best, or merely someone else’s retainer at worst. This also makes it easier to blend in with everyday people; should a situation allow it, you can blend in with crowds, passers-by or common laborers with extreme ease.
However, this has a drawback. People are more likely to question your credibility or treat you with respect not tantamount to your actual deeds. Should you actually convince anyone of your own greatness, you lose benefits of your inconspicuous feature while they are around.
