Feature: Whispers of the Past

The trauma you endured has left an indelible scar on your mind. A subtle, though constant presence echoes within you. These voices may be fragments of your fractured psyche, or whispers from an entity you connected with in the past. You can't be certain of their true nature, but they are always there in your thoughts. This connection manifests in several ways;

  • Intuitive Guidance

Occasionally, you receive cryptic advice or insights, which may or may not be helpful. The DM can provide these hints at opportune moments, or you can ask the DM for guidance when you're unsure of what to do. These hints should be vague and open to interpretation, reflecting the mysterious nature of the voices.

  • Fragmented Memories

Fragments of your past may resurface unexpectedly, triggered by specific sights, sounds, smells, or even emotions. These memories can be disorienting and emotionally disturbing, potentially even imposing a temporary disadvantage (to be determined in consultation with the DM). Work with your DM to weave these memories into the campaign narrative, using them to reveal your character's backstory and create compelling story hooks.

  • Mental Fortitude

The whispers that haunts your thoughts, whether real or imagined, is both a burden and a strength. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed. This resilience stems from the constant mental activity that makes your mind a difficult target for external influence. Discuss with your DM how this manifests in specific situations.
