You are familiar with the ins and outs of a prison and know jail cells better than the back of your hand. You developed a distinct behaviour and mannerism that is easily spotted by anybody who also spent a certain amount of time behind bars aswell. These people feel a kind of kinship with you and will help you out to the best of their abilities, should you request their aid.

Suggested Characteristics
Depending on which background feature you chose your characteristics may vary greatly. However in both cases, it is safe to assume, that a prisoner wouldn't want to return to confinement after escaping or serving their sentence. Another thing they might have in common is indulging in all the things that you are denied while locked away. Be that food, drink, a warm bed or pleasures of the flesh. Depending on why they ended up in confinement in the first place, a prisoner can range from being a vicious, bloodthirsty killer, to a genuinely good person that is only trying to do good.

You spent your time locked away in solitary either by design or by choice. With nobody to talk to but yourself, your confinement might've taken a toll on your ability to socially interact with other people. However it has also taught you not to rely to easily on others. A subtle distrust that makes it harder to deceive you. Once per long rest you may roll with advantage on an Insight check.
