Order of the Eldritch Vanguard: Handler

You have dedicated your life to the art of hunting and fighting the evils of the world. Where ever things go bump in the night, members of this secret order are the ones that bumps back. Outside the order, other than rumors and legends, few know of its existence. The members of this order typically spend much of their lives on the road or off the beaten path in inhospitable territory. Most pass as humble travelers, while others choose to make their various skills and abilities available for hire.

Initiates spend the first few years of training mainly in classrooms, studying the various types of monstrosities as well as basic medicinal and survival skills. When not in class, initiates learn basic combat skills in the arena, firing ranges, and various training courses. During their advanced study period intiates gain the title of Apprentice and are divived into two categories, Hunters and Handlers. Apprentices spend decades mastering the many techniques of this mysterious order, such as the fabled combat style of Gun Fu or the art of using firearms in melee combat.

You are a Handler. Handlers specialize in researching and crafting, but many are capable combatants themselves. When hunting, Handlers are strategic, typically taking a calculated approach to any problem, using their knowledge to outsmart creatures. Your advanced studies focused more on honing your mind into a weapon. The majority of your time is split primarily between the library, laboritories, and forges. In the labs and libraries, you spend your time furthering your research, including advanced biological research and medicinal techniques. In the forge, you learn artisan's skills such as weaponsmithing and gunsmithing.
