Unfortunately... you just aren't well-liked. You've earned a reputation, and other people do not want to be associated with you. Undertaker? Courtesan? Lawyer? Outhouse-cleaner? You’re just not the kind of person other people want to deal with. You’re not necessarily a bad person, per se. You might even be quite personable, attractive or friendly! And maybe you're not on the wrong side of the law, but others treat you differently, regardless. You have to admit though, there are some benefits. For instance, you get plenty of solitude, and people who are normally a nuisance don't approach you. Furthermore, you've made some notable skills and connections. Even if you personally don't travel in criminal circles, you've become connected to other, hidden parts of society– things that the usual population would rather not think about.
- Ability Scores: Charisma, Dexterity, Wisdom
- Feat: Tough
- Skill Proficiencies: Intimidation and Persuasion
In order to get people’s attention, you’ve had to become pretty good at convincing them you’re worth interacting with. You’ve honed your ability to keep someone else engaged, since others would rather not deal with you if given the choice. But on the other hand, you can effortlessly deter or repel people. Once you turn off the charm, other people go out of their way to avoid you. - Tool Proficiencies: Disguise Kit
Sometimes you just need to go somewhere and interact with people without all the drama. You've become fairly adept at disguising yourself to accomplish those goals. - Equipment: Choose A or B:
(A) 2 Daggers, Disguise Kit, 2 Pouches, Traveler’s Clothes, 16 GP;
or (B) 50 GP

Suggested Characteristics
Unsavory characters are varied and myriad in their appearance and occupations. But one thing they have in common is their ability to endure contemporary society. Unsavory characters get by, regardless of the repulsion, or even ire, directed at them. When making an unsavory character, consider how they have learned to cope with their reputations, and what that has taught them. Are they bitter and lonely? Are they cheerful despite the circumstances? How do they interact with people now? And how would they manage joining a group of fellow adventurers?
