You have no past in the vast multiverse of Dungeons & Dragons. In fact, you were born and raised in the real world. You may choose how you ended up in this multiverse, as this can be important to forming your D&D story and world. Did you step through a mysterious rift or portal? Did you dream yourself into this fantasy world? Perhaps a mighty wizard reached out to you and pulled you in. Maybe you were sucked into the world by an inexplicable power instead. It's all up to you!

| d8 | World Bridge |
|---|---|
| 1 | I stepped through a magical portal. |
| 2 | A magical being pulled me from my world into this one. |
| 3 | I dreamed myself into this world. |
| 4 | I discovered a magical object that brought me here. |
| 5 | An apocalyptic event sucked my whole world into this one. |
| 6 | This is still my original world, but it was changed beyond recognition. |
| 7 | I broke the Fourth Wall by being my own D&D character. |
| 8 | I am from the future in my real world, and we have discovered how to walk alternate realities. |
Compared to reality, the Dungeons & Dragons multiverse is chock-full of peculiarity and awe. Ordinary hedge wizards and goofy goblins are absolute wonders. And you, thrown into this magical and new world, are prone to explore. Your wanderlust and lack of knowledge of the world's mysterious workings may make you come off as odd. However, your unique knowledge of real-world workings, technologically, scientifically, and socially, can be applied where those native to this multiverse would not know. Perhaps you understand better how to create, communicate, or innovate.
