You come from the ranks of the language users. You are masterful in many languages, and can easily figure out what codes mean. You may have learned them for use in spells, or just been interested In languages. You might have learned alone, or you had a teacher. But otherwise, you share the love of languages and codes that all linguists have.
- Skill Proficiencies: Linguists have to be highly intelligent people, and their extensive study has breeded skills of intelligence.
- Tool Proficiencies: Having often practiced reading maps from other foreign regions, linguists have often learned how to use cartographers tools. Others have learned how to use medicine or forgery tools, having read medicine, and guides to forgery.
- Languages: You've had a wide learning of languages, so you can choose a lot.
You often know the right words to put in, puzzle answers, and what to do next. Since you also have read many books, you can easily make a logical assumption about a person, object, or other topic. Sometimes, however, you may not be able to make such a effect on the world around you. The DM gets to decide this.
