The world around you is unfamiliar to you; you neither recognize it or yourself anymore. What happened to you that you are in this state? Who were you before? Where are you from?
- Skill Proficiencies: Survival or Medicine, plus one other skill from your past life (choose one: Arcana, History, Insight, Persuasion, Deception, Acrobatics, or Stealth)
- Tool Proficiencies: One set of artisan’s tools or one musical instrument (reflecting a past talent)
- Languages: You know how to read Dwarvish runes, though the language they represent in your mind is not Dwarvish alone. It is something far more ancient.
- Equipment: A keepsake from your past (a trinket, piece of jewelry, or journal with illegible writing), a set of traveler’s clothes, a hunting trap or fishing tackle, a pouch with 10 gp
You gain the Resilient feat
ALSO
Though your memories are fragmented, skills and instincts from your past life occasionally surface. When attempting an Intelligence (History) check related to a past culture, event, or
organization, you can make the check with advantage, even if you don’t consciously recall why. Additionally, once per long rest, you can gain insight into a situation as if recalling a forgotten lesson—your DM may grant you a small clue or nudge based on your past experiences.
Suggested Characteristics
Your past is a mystery, even to you. The person you were before the trauma shaped you, but your time surviving alone has hardened you in different ways. Do you long to recover your lost identity, or fear what you might find?
