Realmcrafter Image

Realmcrafters are wanderers, architects, and survivors—those rare individuals who see the world not only as terrain to cross, but as a canvas to build upon. Born from realms where reality itself can be mined, shaped, and reconstructed, Realmcrafters carry a unique understanding of how environments work on a fundamental level.

Whether they hail from cube-shaped worlds of shifting biomes or were cast into existence through ancient world-editing magic, these crafters are always building: outposts in storm-blasted mountains, tunnels through monster-infested deeps, or redstone contraptions that blur the line between science and sorcery.

More than just builders, Realmcrafters are survivors. They know how to scavenge the right material, reinforce shelter against the nightly horrors, and forge gear from whatever’s at hand. To them, a pickaxe is as noble a weapon as any sword—and a stack of cobblestone is the difference between life and death.

As a Realmrcrafter, you’ve likely seen lands collapse into void, strongholds swallowed by corruption, and mobs turned hostile by unseen forces. But you endure. Because in the end, when all is stripped away, you can still build.

Realmseed Spawn

When you became a Realmcrafter, you carried more than just tools and technique—you brought with you a fundamental understanding of how the world works, based on where you first learned to survive. This origin, called your Realmseed, is a fragment of the place or dimension you were forged in: a seed of influence that continues to color your instincts, perspective, and creativity.

Your Realmseed affects not just your skills, but how you interact with the world. It might manifest as flashes of alien insight, an intuitive grasp of redstone logic, or a habit of never wasting a single resource.

When choosing this background, roll for a realmseed origin

Endborn

You were shaped by the void between worlds—The End. Alien energy pulses through you, and your instincts are just a little... off.

Void-Touched Feature: You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened, and once per long rest, you can cast the Misty Step spell without expending a spell slot. (Use Intelligence as your spellcasting ability.)

Redstone Engineer

You understand logic, movement, and arcane circuitry. To you, a trap is art and a contraption is poetry.

Tinkerer's Edge: You gain proficiency with Smith’s Tools. During a short or long rest, you can assemble a simple mechanical device (alarm, trap, pulley, or pressure-plate system) using available materials. It lasts 8 hours or until dismantled.

Skyblock Survivor

You began with nothing and turned it into something. You’re the definition of resourceful.

Minimalist Mastery: You can scavenge or craft with half the normal resources. Once per long rest, you can reroll a failed ability check related to survival, crafting, or repairing.

Netherborn

“You endured fire, lava, and twisted terrain. You don’t flinch when the ground shakes.”

Trait – Flame-Hardened Instincts

You have resistance to fire damage once per long rest for 1 minute (no action required to activate).
You also gain advantage on Survival checks in volcanic, subterranean, or hellish environments.

Overgrowth-Touched

“The wilds raised you. Or reclaimed you.”

Trait – Symbiotic Instinct

You can move through nonmagical difficult terrain without penalty, and you ignore movement restrictions from overgrowth, vines, or dense plant life.
Once per long rest, you can cast Entangle without a spell slot (Wisdom is your spellcasting ability).

Warden-Blooded

“You heard the echoes. You felt the tremors. You survived where no light shines.”

Trait – Echo of the Deep

You have blindsight out to 10 feet, representing your ability to “feel” movement and vibration in utter darkness.
In addition, once per long rest, you can use your reaction to become invisible until the start of your next turn if you take damage while not moving and not speaking.

Feature: Blocksmith's Intuition

You have a natural sense for the underlying structure of any environment—whether it's the dungeon’s crumbling walls or the cliffs of a shattered mesa biome. You can identify the best materials to gather, where hidden resources might be, and the safest places to build. In settlements, crafters and miners respect your understanding of terrain and construction, granting you easier access to building supplies and shelter.
