Revenant of the abyss

The Revenants of the Abyss are souls who have defied death at the cost of their humanity. They return to the mortal world having crossed the horrors of the underworld, driven by a purpose that burns beyond life and death. They are often hunters of the hellish, wraiths of vengeance who have made pacts with dark or ancient entities, and bear upon themselves the marks of their doom and power.

Those who walk this path have often lost loved ones to acts of fanaticism or divine cruelty, and they return not to redeem the world, but to punish it. Their presence disturbs both the living and the dead.
