You spent years studying in one of the 9 major arcane colleges found on the Continent of Eros. You scoured manuscripts, studied scrolls, wrote extensive papers, and listened to the greatest experts on the subjects that interest you. Your efforts have made you very knowledgeable in your field of study.
- Skill Proficiencies: Arcana, History
- Tool Proficiencies: Calligrapher's Supplies
- Languages: Two of your choice
- Equipment: A bottle of black ink, a quill, a small knife, a letter from one of your old professors that seems to be written in some sort of code that you have not yet been able to decipher, a set of robes from the school of magic you attended, and a pouch containing 10 gp
To determine the arcane school you attended, roll a d8 or choose from the options in the table below. Note that Dunamancy is not on the table because it is a smaller, more remote school that has the fewest number of students. You may still choose to be a student of Dunamancy if you wish.

When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
