You spent years under someone else's boot—fetching things, cleaning up disasters, or taking the fall when needed. Whether you served a corrupt noble, a criminal syndicate, a cult, or just an incompetent boss, you've learned to survive, blend in, and stay out of the spotlight. Maybe you're done being used. Or maybe you're just between bosses.

Skill Proficiencies: Insight, Deception
Tool Proficiencies:
  • One type of gaming set or disguise kit (your choice)
Languages: One of your choice
Equipment: A set of common clothes, a pouch containing 10 gp, a trinket or token from your former boss (badge, signet, IOU, or odd memento), and a handwritten note signed by someone important stating you are "owed a favor."

Feature: Always Nearby

You’re an expert at blending into servant groups, staff rotations, or background laborers. In social or urban settings, people generally assume you're supposed to be where you are. Guards overlook you, nobles ignore you, and few ask questions. You can often gain access to service areas, back rooms, or kitchens without raising suspicion, as long as you don't draw attention.

At your DM's discretion, this can let you gather information, move freely in controlled areas, or gain favors from staff or laborers who relate to your background.
