You are a divine warrior, called to protect and heal in the name of your god. However, your devotion is not limited to the sword and shield; your healing touch and nourishing meals serve as tools of comfort and redemption. Your belief is simple: Just as the body needs sustenance, so too does the spirit. Food, for you, is not just a way to nourish the body—it is a way to share divine grace with others, a manifestation of your divine calling.
You were trained both as a warrior and a chef, learning to wield the blade as fiercely as the spatula. As you travel the world in service to your god, you serve up healing meals to those in need, and your mighty strength ensures that no harm befalls those under your protection. You believe that even the most hardened hearts can be softened by a well-prepared meal.
Your calling isn’t just to fight for justice—it’s to spread peace and offer redemption through the love you put into every dish. When you fight, you fight to protect and heal, and when you cook, you cook to restore and redeem.
- Skill Proficiencies: Athletics: As a warrior and a chef, you need strength in both the battlefield and the kitchen. You can perform physical tasks with power, whether you're wielding a weapon or carrying ingredients for a feast.
Religion: Your divine training is just as essential as your combat and culinary skills. You know the rituals, doctrines, and divine philosophies that guide your actions and cooking.
- Tool Proficiencies: Cook’s Utensils: You can craft meals that are not just filling but imbued with your divine energy, healing, and restoring.
One martial weapon of your choice (such as Warhammer, Longsword, or Greatsword). You’re proficient in the tools of battle, just as you are in the kitchen.
- Languages: Common
One additional language of your choice (Perhaps Celestial, if your divine calling stems from a celestial being, or Infernal if you have a redemption-based pact with a fiendish patron).
- Equipment: Heward's handy spice pouch, a tinderbox, a iron pot, 1 weapon of your choice, 25gp and a backpack
1, You once fed a starving village during a siege using only a boar, a root cellar, and divine guidance.
2, A noble still writes to you every year to recreate your famous resurrection roast — the meal that revived their will to live.
3, Your stew once caused a berserker to stop fighting mid-battle and cry tears of joy. He’s now your apprentice.
4, You learned secret cooking techniques from a celestial spirit who taught you to cook with divine flame.
5, You once defeated a rival chef in a duel judged by a god. You won with a perfect soufflé in under 10 minutes.
6, Your food is so potent, it’s rumored to suppress curses — and one noble family has been funding your travels just to keep tasting it.
Sacred Meals: When you prepare a meal during a long rest, you can infuse it with divine energy. Your meal grants those who consume it temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus (minimum 1). This meal also provides minor healing (such as restoring a small number of hit points or curing poison or disease).
Combat and Cuisine: You can wield your martial weapon and your cooking tools with equal skill. When using cook’s utensils as a weapon, you add your Strength modifier (or Dexterity, if applicable) to attack and damage rolls. For example, you might use a large spatula as an improvised weapon in combat, dealing damage with it as if it were a martial weapon.
Healing Feast: When you use Lay on Hands, you can imbue a portion of your healing into a meal you prepare. Those who consume this meal receive additional healing equal to your Paladin level (in addition to any healing you provide through Lay on Hands). This meal can also act as a divine offering, restoring hit points to all allies within a 10-foot radius when consumed.
Suggested Characteristics
Divine Warrior Chefs bring passion, creativity, and purpose to both the battlefield and the kitchen. Their personalities are shaped by the heat of combat, the fire of the stove, and the sacred responsibility of nourishing the body and soul. Whether they believe food is a holy ritual or just want to cook the perfect stew, these individuals are rare blends of heart and I judge people based on how they treat their food — wastefulness offends me deeply.

I remember everyone’s favorite meal. It’s how I show love and loyalty.
I keep divine recipes in a secret notebook and won’t let anyone peek.

I have no patience for blandness — in food, speech, or people.
I secretly believe my food is better than magic. Why waste spells when I can roast?
I tend to feed my enemies before striking them. Hospitality is sacred… but confusing.
I take critiques of my cooking personally, even if it’s a joke.
I sometimes forget I’m a warrior first. I’d rather fix a stew than fight a dragon.

Contacts
As a Divine Warrior Chef, you’ve crossed paths with all kinds of people: hungry travelers, noble patrons, fellow warriors, culinary rivals, and even divine emissaries. Your food has forged bonds that run deeper than many realize — and some of these connections may come back into your life in surprising ways.
Use the table below to inspire allies, rivals, or patrons from your past.
1, Sister Tilda, a battle-worn cleric who believes your food is a divine miracle. She spreads tales of your cooking to every temple she visits.
2, Borik Ironbelly, a retired dwarven warrior and your harshest food critic. If he praises your meal, it must be legendary.
3,Mira of the Saffron Gate, a secretive noble who once hired you to cater a feast... and now considers you their most trusted confidant.
4, Flint Craggjaw, a surly cooking rival and former friend. You were once partners, but a falling-out over "too much cumin" broke the bond. He now seeks to surpass you.
5, High Chef Emeran, an elven master of sacred cuisine. They taught you that food can be a form of divine worship and still sends you rare ingredients.
6, The Flame, a mysterious traveling warrior who only appears when great food is cooked. They speak in riddles and once taught you a combat technique through a shared meal.
You’ve mastered the art of preparing food that empowers your allies in dangerous situations. During a short or long rest, you can prepare a Signature Meal for up to 6 people. Those who eat it gain one of the following benefits (chosen per meal):
Hero’s Feast Lite: Gain advantage on Constitution saving throws and 1d6 temporary hit points until the next long rest.
Warrior’s Broth: Gain +1 to weapon damage rolls until the end of their next combat encounter.
Restorative Meal: Gain the effects of a lesser restoration spell (can only do this for 1 creature per long rest).
Focus Brew: Gain advantage on the next Wisdom or Intelligence saving throw made before the next short rest.
You can use this feature once per long rest, unless you have access to a kitchen or firepit, in which case you can do it twice.
You can conjure divine hospitality wherever you go.
With an hour of work and access to basic ingredients, you can prepare a nourishing meal for up to six people. This meal does one of the following (chosen when served):
Restores 1 extra hit point per Hit Die spent during a short rest.
Grants advantage on Constitution saving throws to resist disease or food-based poisons until the next long rest.
Boosts morale: Each creature gains +1 to the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.
At your DM’s discretion, particularly moving or culturally significant meals may grant temporary narrative benefits, such as improving NPC disposition, resolving minor conflicts, or triggering memories/visions related to your deity.
You must finish a long rest before you can grant these benefits again.
