Warder Image

A Warder (known as Gaidin) is a person, traditionally male, who is bonded by an Aes Sedai through the use of saidar to become her bodyguard and protector. Warders are easily recognized by their distinctive color-shifting cloak, made of fancloth, when they choose to wear it. Known for their legendary prowess in battle, catlike grace, and unswerving loyalty, Warders are deadly and unmerciful foes.

Often seen as hard or grim by outsiders, Warders exist to serve and protect. They are constantly on guard and have little time for pleasantries. A Warder would give his life to save the Aes Sedai who carries his bond.
