Suggested Characteristics

Musical composers are anything from a revered musician to an uncredited devotee, and their characteristics reflect this duality of recognition. Some composers are egotistical due to the fame they've achieved, whilst others may be humble and unrecognized geniuses who are treated as commoners despite their wealth, and most fall somewhere between the two.

d8 Personality Trait
1 I rarely use vocal lines in my compositions, and I tend not to talk much as a result.
2 I see anybody who hasn't heard my works as a foe or an uneducated buffoon.
3 I never show anyone a work that is worse than my last.
4 There’s nothing I like more than a good song.
5 I envy the works of bards, and I often (denounce them/ask their assistance) because of it.
6 I hold a deep hatred of (race), and I often write songs about their failures.
7 I always begin a new song by goofing around with my (instrument) to gain inspiration.
8 I’m convinced that people are always trying to steal my works and pass them off as their own..
d6 Ideal
1 Music is a tool of good, evil, chaos, and law. I express this way of thought wholeheartedly. (Neutral)
2 Music is beautiful, so long as the writer and the audience are happy. (Good)
3 The threads of a song are less about precise notes than improvized fun. (Chaotic)
4 I have no qualms about stealing a dead man's works. I also have no qualms about causing said death. (Evil)
5 A song is a story, and I want to make those stories my own. (Any)
6 The notes of a song are artfully placed to make it the most interesting. One slip-up ruinst a composition. (Lawful)
d6 Bond
1 My compositions are my life's work, and so long as I hold my life, they will not be stolen.
2 I once had a mentor, but they died before I mastered my craft. I now dedicate all my compositions to them.
3 My role in this world is to protect what makes music special.
4 I will be known as the greatest songwriter, even if nobody knows my name.
5 I desire to be the focal point of a famed song, and to have bards speak my name for centuries to come.
6 I follow my path to save my family from an unfortunate circumstance, and I always send most of my earnings to them.
d6 Flaw
1 The nature of my societal role causes me to look down upon those who don't know who I am or what I do.
2 I am quite particular about how I work. If I don't make a near-perfect product, nobody will ever hear or see it.
3 I often steal bits and pieces of music from less successful composers to use in my own songs.
4 I overlook obvious solutions in favor of complicated ones.
5 I despise (race/class) and my prejudice keeps me from properly working with and positively writing about them.
6 I can’t keep a secret to save my life, or anyone else’s.
