You are a spy without a true master. While you steal secrets and create misinformation for what your group is supposed to be you are actually pursuing your true personal goals. You hide in the shadows, infiltrate other guilds, and steal their most precious secrets, whether they're written in locked journals or hidden in someone's mind. It doesn't matter what mission is entrusted to you, you carry it out without asking yourself why and in any case during it you turn things so that they are to your exclusive advantage.
Even if you initially joined one faction/sect/group, you maintain a false identity as a member of a second group. You can choose your primary group or roll to determine it randomly and chose your secondary group. This secondary group membership determines a portion of your starting equipment and is also where most of your contacts come from. You infiltrate your secondary group to learn its secrets, keep tabs on its activities, or perhaps weaken it from the inside.
- Skill Proficiencies: Deception, Investigation, Sleight of Hand

There are many types of criminal and non-criminal groups in the multiverse. To acquire your initial contacts, in order to pursue your personal goals, join a good or evil organization or group. Choose the group or power to which you have decided to obey in your life, or roll on the table below. You can then choose the second group independently. You can choose groups or factions not present on the table.

You have a reliable and trustworthy contact who acts as your liaison to a network of other criminals. Suggested Characteristics
Criminals might seem like villains on the surface, and many of them are villainous to the core. But some have an abundance of endearing, if not redeeming, characteristics. There might be honor among thieves, but criminals rarely show any respect for law or authority.
