At some point in your life you realized you have a passion for training a specific species of animal and have been pursuing it ever since. The behavior, individual personalities, and characteristics of this specific animal fill you with inspiration; you feel a bond with them that you can't explain. To you, their endless potential is exciting and you can't wait to find new cutting edge ways to enrich their lives (and yours) with training. Whether you train a pack of hunting dogs for a noble, horses at the stable, take only donations and work with service animals for the sick and poor, or just do consulting, clients seek you out for services, compelled by your knowledge and passion.

Because you understand animal behavior and body language, animals you interact with warm up to you quickly, as they are filled with trust. You have advantage on animal handling checks to befriend any non-hostile animal or pet, making them an Animal Friend. Animal Friends can convey simple messages to other animals of the same kind, may alert you to intruders or danger, and can be pet/fed by you. The amount of Animal Friends you can have at one time is equal to your proficiency modifier.

Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from Animal Handling, Perception, Medicine, Persuasion, Nature
Tool Proficiencies: Herbalism Kit
Languages: Choose any one that is appropriate for your guild, location, clients, etc.
Equipment: A riding outfit/training clothes, a badge/medal/letter or other small trophy either indicating certification or won in competition, a small trusty pet or mount (non-magical), and a purse containing 15 gp.

Also choose three from the following training supplies: A worn leather pouch containing various treats, a lead/collar, small toys, exercise wheel, bridle/saddle/reins, thick gloves, grooming tools (like salves, shampoo, brushes), water bowl, whistle/signal/horn, a field research notebook, and a scholarly work by a favorite esteemed trainer.

You may substitute items on the training supplies list that serve similar purposes.

Feature: Animal Specialty

Choose a non-magical creature to become your specialty. You have spent a great deal of time with this animal species, whether it be a dog, horse, crow, owl, mouse, etc, they are what you primarily train and have taken an interest in as your passion. The bond you have with them is evident as local people know of your services, awards, or honors and regard you as a resident expert.

When you befriend your Animal Specialty and they become an Animal Friend, their relationship with you may be strengthened through your talents. You can spend 1d4 days training them and caring for them after which they will follow you and become a companion.

You are a benevolent owner, priding yourself on the well-being of your pets. Any animal that becomes a companion to you can receive first aid. You may declare that your Herbalism Kit is actually a first aid kit for animals rather than humans. You can use it to add your proficiency bonus to checks where you are looking for herbs for small first aid purposes and to stabilize a dying animal.

*No animals can be commanded to attack or fight for you unless your class allows it. Additionally, endangering Animal Friends through your training or commands may cause them to lose trust in you and decide to leave.
