Initially founded to provide protection and care to pilgrims in the Holy Land, the role of the Knight's Hospitaller has shifted since the Reckoning. The Knights find themselves charged with keeping the more monstrous results of the Reckoning from savaging settled lands. Though originally a human-exclusive organization, demands and a changing world have enabled members of all races to join the order.
The Knights Hospitaller have two main chapter houses - one on Cyprus and the other, more recent house in Avignon alongside the papal palace.
