Many people know how to cook, but a chef is one to whom the kitchens call. Ingredients to a chef are like spell components to a mage. Whether you were classically trained in culinary school or apprenticed to a master chef, you know how to command a cooking line. And every adventuring knows that a great cook can make the difference between a just a full belly and a great highway meal. Further, the heightened senses you have cultivated to make sure your food is seasoned and cooked to perfection doubles at warning you to approaching dangers.
- Ability Scores: You can increase your Constitution, Intelligence, and Wisdom scores by +1. Alternatively, you can increase one of those scores by +1 and another one by +2. Unfortunately DnDBeyond does not currently have a way to implement these bonuses in custom backgrounds to please use the honor system to manually adjust your scores on the Abilities tab of your Character Creation Sheet.

- Skill Proficiencies: You gain proficiency in Insight and Perception.
- Tool Proficiencies: You gain proficiency in Cook's Utensils.
- Equipment: a set of common clothes, a cooking apron, a tinderbox, a mess kit, an iron pot, Cooking Utensils, a pouch with 20 gp
