Variant Alchemist: Alchemist’s Apprentice/Assistant

You are an apprentice or an assistant to a well-known alchemist, and have studied with him/her for some time. Whether you are trying to attain a similar occupation or if you just need a job, you have learned much about the trade through your master’s teaching.

Variant Feature: Safety First

Being an apprentice or an assistant to an alchemist is no easy job. There is always a good chance that you too can be exposed to dangerous chemicals. You have learned how to handle such matters with ease. You can quickly identify the properties of a potion, and how it might be dangerous (ex. Ingestion, absorption, or an inhalant) to the recipient and limit how exposures effect you. At the DM’s digression, you can know how to deal with an exposure and how the exposure would affect your character.
