Former First Mate of 'The Balleater' and member of 'The Mighty Nein'

Shelda was hired to crew the ship, 'The Balleater', during Orly Skiffback's time as captain, prior to the Mighty Nein taking ownership and during as well. She served as the first mate and quartermaster. The ship is owned by The Mighty Nein (Beauregard Lionett, Caleb Widogast, Fjord, Jester Lavorre, Kingsley Tealeaf, Yasha Nydoorin, Veth Brenatto) adventuring party. Shelda spent time with the group, aboard the ship for many years, helping them and her captain (Orly) with the day to day operations, missions, and more.

However, about a year ago, during a mission, the ship was attacked by scions, tentacled creatures, sea beasts and Uk'otoa itself. After falling overboard, she was swept out to sea, and woke up on a beach, heavily injured. She crawled her way until she was found by a passing monk (Malvierra Silvarron) and was brought to a Library of the Cobalt Soul for healing and rest. It has been about a year since then and has been steadily helping the Cobalt Soul and her close ally Malvi.

She has heard stories of her old crew and friends having succeeded in trapping Uk'otoa once again and although proud of them, wasn't sure what to do next. She deeply considered returning to them. However she didn't know what to say as they clearly assumed she was dead after over a year of being gone.

As of now, she doesn't know what she wants, but wishes to be on the ocean again.
"Maybe I'll start my own crew..." she thinks.
