There isn’t a soul in the city of Orthos that doesn’t feel the call of the deep. Sadly this leads to the untimely demise of many of it’s citizens as they venture out on their own. This has led to one of the cities most pressing problems: orphans. As way to help deal with this issue, the Delver’s guild has an extensive orphan outreach program. They run the city’s orphanage and give vocational training in the hopes of creating productive citizens. The most promising students are accepted into the guild itself. You were lucky enough to prove yourself and were accepted in the guild’s ranks. While you are grateful for your opportunities, you can’t help but wonder if it was necessary for their methods to be so harsh. Still, it has been a big step up from life on the streets.
