- Studying various ailments and developing diagnostic skills to understand the causes of illness, whether physical, spiritual, or social.
- Performing household chores related to the healing practice, such as cleaning the healing space and maintaining supplies.

If someone in a town needs healing or an evaluation of health, they may offer to feed and house your party for a night in exchange for your help with their ailment. If the illness is a widespread problem, you may even receive upscale accommodations from a lord, mayor, or other official.
Furthermore, once you have healed someone, they tend to trust you. They may reveal important information that might usually be hard to ask about while you patch them up. Maybe the liquor you prescribed to help with the pain is a bit of help in this regard too.
You are familiar with a variety of roots, herbs, and mosses that aid in recovery and health. You can forage for them as long as you are traveling on foot at a normal pace provided that the land offers it, and if you spend a day of travel foraging, you can replenish 1d4 uses of a healer's kit.
