Foggy Memory Image

You've spent the last however many years in a haze; conscious but not fully present. Now, your clarity has returned, but your memories haven't. You aren't a complete amnesiac--you can remember your life before you were caught in a daze--but you'll have to wait as foggy recollections of your past slowly come back to you. It's going to take some time before you get all your memories back, but why not make some new ones in the meantime?

How long had you been entranced? Where have you spent the last several years? Were you stuck in a cryogenic stasis? Trapped under the spell of an evil mage, or locked away in a tower? How did you wake up? Was there a condition that expired? Did someone release you, or did you free yourself?

Stasis

You began your life in a time before the present day. A circumstance you experienced removed you from it and sent you here, where you awoke in a world changed. What led to you being in stasis for so long?

d6 Stasis
1 Divine act
2 Imprisonment
3 Entranced
4 Petrification
5 True Polymorph
6 Possession

Feature: Lost Knowledge

Due to being removed from the outside world for an extended period of time, you are one of, if not the last living being on your plane to remember knowledge that was otherwise forgotten or twisted by the passage of time. You can accurately recall any information from your time period before you went into stasis, provided that the information was either common knowledge or involved you directly.

Suggested Characteristics

Most people recovering from their stasis find themselves struggling to fit in with modern society, justified by naivety or obstinacy. Some are fascinated by how the world has changed, while others refuse to believe how much time has passed. Being kept away from civilization can also be a very traumatic experience, which leaves some of them scarred for life.
