From caravan campfires to Guild Hall feast kitchens, you feel like you've cooked a little bit of everything for just about everyone. During your travels you've learned to navigate the wilds, hunt game, and forage for ingredients to make meals which are both delicious & nourishing.
If you later take the Feat: Chef (Prerequisite: Level 4+) when you take that Feat you can replace its Cook's Utensils proficiency by instead gaining proficiency in one Artisan Tool or Musical Instrument of your choice.
- Ability Scores: Dexterity, Wisdom, Charisma (+1/+1/+1) or (+2/+1).
- Feat: Skilled.
- Skill Proficiencies: Nature, Performance, Stealth, Survival (choose 2).
- Tool Proficiencies: Cook's Utensils.
- Languages: One of your choice based on your backstory. For flavor, and with DM approval, add 'Cook's Cant' (the shorthand language of those who work in kitchens) as an additional bonus language.
- Equipment: Traveler's Clothes, Chef's Hat & Apron, Cook's Utensils, a set of Chef's Knives. A large waterproof pouch with a personal journal & a set of colored pencils, and 2 cookbooks (see Notes, below). A small pouch with 20 gold pieces.
Note 1: there are several D&D homebrew cookbooks available online to use in a campaign, including "Krot's Book of Cookery" & "Fantastic Beasts and How to Eat Them."
Note 2: if you are creating a level 3+ character, and have DM approval, you can add "Heward's Handy Spice Pouch" to your equipment.
