Bemused Artist Image

No matter what your job is by day, you feel compelled by creative urges at night to craft paintings, trinkets, sculptures, tapestries, or whatever other form of artistic expression flows into your head. You’re willing to forgo comfort and coin alike to satisfy your creativity, and since inspiration is fickle for an artist, you seize it whenever it comes — creating one piece after another, driven by the belief that capricious muses guide your hand and make each work better than the last.

You always pay close attention to your surroundings, not because you’re paranoid or opportunistic (though you might be, if you’re desperate to afford quality materials), but because you’re constantly searching for sparks to ignite your next masterpiece. You believe the muses appreciate your devotion, rewarding your exhausting nighttime labor with brief enchantments that help your art shine brighter than ordinary creations. To see a flash of inspiration take form before you finally rest is your greatest reward — even if it means waking up bleary-eyed the next morning.

Once during a long rest, you can choose to give yourself disadvantage on all ability checks until your next long rest. When you do, you spend an hour creating a small piece of artwork, no larger than a 1-foot cube, using one of your sets of artisan’s tools as well as high-quality materials that cost 1 gp. The resulting artwork becomes lightly enchanted by your muses. As an action and only once, you may gift this enchanted artwork to a creature you can touch. That creature gains the following benefit for the next 8 hours:

Inspirational Artistry. When this creature roll a d20 for a D20 Test and the result is less than or equal to your (the creator’s) Proficiency Bonus, they can choose to reroll the die, and must use the new roll.

When you take a long rest, the last art piece you created with Muse-Touched Creation vanishes, leaving no trace of its existence.
