You spent formative years in a scriptorium, a monastery dedicated to the preservation of knowledge, or a government agency, where you learned to write with a clear hand and produce finely written texts. Perhaps you scribed government documents or copied tomes of literature. You might have some skill as a writer of poetry, narrative, or scholarly research. Above all, you have a careful attention to detail, helping you avoid introducing mistakes to the documents you copy and create.

Scribal Eye: You have an eye for extreme detail when looking at written or inscribed lettering, symbols, runes, etc. If there is something hidden or dangerous within a inscription, there is a good chance it won't go unnoticed. You gain advantage on any test to make that determination.
Historical Authorship: After copying and reading so many manuscripts and books, you have learned a great deal about the histories of these works and their authors. You often can recall various pieces of lore about any author you come across and you will have an idea where you can find a book on just about any subject.
Expert Inscriber: Anything you inscribe takes half as long to do it at half the cost. This includes inscribing spells into a book or creating magical scrolls if your are skilled enough to do so. This does not reduce the casting time of any spell.
