Maybe you witnessed friends or family die, perhaps you fell into a midlife crisis and never fell out. Regardless of how you got here, your past experiences and trauma have caused you to enter into a life of risk taking and alcoholism.

Ability Scores:

Tool Proficiencies: Brewers tools

Equipment: Choose A or B: (A) 2 Daggers, Thieves’ Tools, Crowbar, 2 Pouches, Traveler’s Clothes, 16 GP, alcohol flask; or (B) 50 GP

Feature: A little out of it/drunken luck

You are always a little tipsy from the adverse affects of your alcohol, you have disadvantage on perception checks. however you suffer no further negative effects of alcohol, except blacking out once you have reached an overdose, you also have advantage on constitution saves against poisons and attacks that deal poison damage. (A little more poison couldn't hurt)

Drunken luck: you gain a small pool of drunken stamina  (an amount equal to your proficiency mod) and regain 1 point each time your character has an alcoholic drink and 1 additional point every long rest(as long as you have your trusty flask). You can use the drunken dice under the following circumstances:

Drunken dodge: If you fail a dexterity saving throw against an enemy spell or spell like ability you can expend 1 use of your drunken stamina to re roll the dice, you take the new roll regardless if it is higher or lower. If the number you rolled was 5 or more lower than your original number your opponent can: (for effects that do damage) reroll the damage dice and take the higher total number, or (for effects that don't do damage) the duration of the effect lasts 1 extra round.

Quick drinker: by expending 1 use of your drunken stamina you can drink a liquid substance contained in a bottle or flask (such as a bottle of alcohol or a potion) as a bonus action. (another player may forcibly expend one use of your drunken die to feed you a potion as a bonus action while in death saves)

Sweet liquor eases the pain: when you take bludgeoning piercing or slashing damage you can expend 1 use of drunken stamina in order to gain resistance to that type of damage (for that attack only) however the next time you take damage of the same time before you have been healed, add the amount of resisted damage to the opponents damage roll (this ability can be used multiple times in a row (stacking the resisted damage and adding it to the first unresisted attack) however if the total absorbed damage exceeds half your maximum health you are reduced to 1hp and gain the incapacitated condition until healed.

upon reaching 0 drunken dice you feel unnaturally compelled to drink, and (while not in combat) will either be forced to drink from your own stash or seek out the nearest saloon.

Limited Use: 3

this is here as it would not show up when put into the ability scores section:

your dexterity score increases by 1 and charisma score increases by 1
