Feature: Echoes of Who I Was
Your lost shapeshifting abilities left behind an instinctive understanding of identity, motive, and emotional posture. Even without the physical ability to change form, you carry the mental imprint of many personas.
Once per long rest, choose one of the following:
- Identify Motive — Ask the DM one question about an NPC’s emotional intent or honesty. The answer will be truthful, though sometimes brief or vague.
- Sense Recognition — If a creature has met, hunted, or tracked you before your turning, you feel a subtle pull or familiarity toward them.
- Mirror Presence — Gain advantage on one Persuasion, Intimidation, or Deception check by naturally matching tone, posture, or emotional cadence.
This feature is instinct—not magical. A remnant echo of the many faces you once wore.
