The Twisted Mage is any sort of magical practitioner who has been thrown out of their magical organization for their cruelty, indulgence into dark magic, breaking of core rules, or any of the above. The Twisted Mage could have almost any motivation for roaming around the land, whether it be vengeance, power, love, or simple wanderlust. Regardless, the Mage is an intelligent, cunning, and manipulative entity who will stop at nothing to get what they want, using any and all resources at their disposal.
- Skill Proficiencies: The Twisted Mage is obviously proficient in the arcane arts and could be knowledgeable in the Sleight of Hand, Investigation, Stealth, Deception, Performance, Intimidation, Persuasion, and Investigation.
- Tool Proficiencies: The Twisted Mage has never been one for physical pursuits, and as such is proficient very little besides the tools familiar to Arcana.
- Languages: The Twisted Mage is more than familiar with languages such as Abyssal, Infernal, and Draconic, which all pertain to the dark magic that they love so. The Mage may also know a few words in the Deep Speech, depending on what field of the dark arts they decided to pursue.
- Equipment: The Twisted Mage is more often than not a caster attacking from far away (shocker, I know) as such they traditionally garb themselves in robes and maybe light armor so as to optimize the casting of spells. Also, Mages may wear very tight and form-fitting clothes, for those who value a bit more of a physical approach to dark magic, and who use it to supplement their main dark art.
The Dark Mage is a vagrant who has or was abandoned by their own magical guild or organization, or who was simply inclined to dabble in the darker aspects of magic from the beginning. These individuals are generally fast, cruel, manipulative, and charismatic, specializing in everything from charming victims into their lair and sacrificing them to a dark god to channeling pure darkness to fuel their ever growing power, making this already durable individual even more of a pain to kill.
The Dark Mage's main aspect is achieving power far beyond that of the normal caster, and granting them access to spells normally off-limits to others, however, these powerful spells don't come without their own risk and fee.

6 | Lack of respect for people who value sharp, pointy metal sticks and muscles over the immense force of magic. |
