Circus Runaway

You, by chance, were part of a travelling circus. You don’t remember if it was willing or not, but you needed money and it seemed simple enough. You made the mistake of signing off your soul to the faerie ringmaster, unfortunately. As promised, you become a beloved performer, though after years it lost its charm. After a show, with your ringmaster distracted and nobody watching you, you fled. You ran until you couldn’t, and took shelter where possible.

Now, you live in hiding. You are still under contract, after all. And the ringmaster is not fond of runaways.
