Witch Image

You were not trained in towers or colleges.
Your magic was learned in whispers, moonlight, blood, herbs, and old roads.
You are a witch—keeper of forbidden lore, village protector, curse-breaker, healer, or harbinger.

Witches draw power from tradition, intuition, spirits, and the land itself, rather than formal study.

Feat:

Witchcraft Tradition

You belong to—or were once taught by—a witch tradition. Choose or invent one:

  • Hedge Witch – Protectors of villages, healers, midwives (Earth or Water)

  • Coven Witch – Initiates of secret circles and shared rituals (Fire or Spirit)

  • Wild Witch – Bound to forests, beasts, storms, or seasons (Earth, Water, Air, or Spirit)

  • Moon Witch – Diviners, dream-walkers, fate-readers (Air or Water)

  • Blood Witch – Practitioners of sacrifice, pain, and life-force magic (Water or Spirit)

  • Road Witch – Travelers of liminal spaces and forgotten paths ( Follows One or multiple Elemental Affinity)

Feature: Folk Magic

You know the small magic of the world—rituals that don’t always require spell slots.

  • You can perform minor rituals or major rituals (blessings, protections, omens, wards, charms) that:

    • Take time (From a minute to hours)

    • Use simple components

    • Have narrative or minor mechanical effects (DM discretion)

    • Major rituals can be performed alone or with a coven (Group)
      • Major rituals performed with a coven increase its effectiveness and duration. (Same as with minor rituals)
      • Major rituals still take time and components
      • Major rituals include leveled spells
      • Its effects depend on how well the ritual is performed. (DC 10-15 Arcana & DC 10 in minor rituals)

Examples:

  • Bless a home against ill fortune

  • Ease pain during childbirth

  • Read omens in smoke, tea, bones, or dreams

  • Ward a doorway against spirits

These effects are subtle, not combat-breaking—but powerful in the story.
