The Sealed One (O.E) Image

Once a god of immense power, you were not destroyed but bound by a divine seal known as the Seal Land. Your divine essence was locked away and your existence reduced to that of a mortal. Though your strength is now no greater than any ordinary person’s, fragments of your former self still linger. You walk the world in search of meaning, redemption, or the lost power that was taken from you.

Ability Scores: Your past as a divine being sharpened your will, perception, and presence. Even in mortal form, you carry an otherworldly awareness and a commanding aura, as if reality itself once listened to your voice.
Feat:

Your sealed godhood leaves a faint but undeniable mark upon the world. Creatures attuned to magic, faith, or ancient power may sense that you are not entirely mortal. You may gain narrative influence with temples, cults, scholars, and divine or arcane entities, at the DM’s discretion.

Skill Proficiencies: You have spent countless ages observing the universe and now wander the mortal world seeking lost truths. You are trained in:
Arcana and History
Tool Proficiencies:

Though once above mortal crafts, you have adapted to this world’s methods of survival. Choose one:

  • Calligrapher’s Supplies (for ancient scripts and seals)

  • Alchemist’s Supplies (for studying magical remnants)

Languages:

You retain echoes of the tongues of creation. You can speak, read, and write Common and one additional language of your choice (typically Celestial, Infernal, or Primordial).

Equipment:

You start with the following equipment:

  • A faded symbol or fragment of your former divinity (amulet, ring, or shard)

  • A set of traveler’s clothes

  • A journal filled with fragmented memories and symbols

  • A pouch containing 10 gp

Fragments of the Past

Each time you level up, visit a sacred site, or experience a powerful magical event, you may roll (or choose) from this table to determine what memory or power stirs within you.

d6 Fragments of the Past
1 A vision of the moment you were sealed by higher beings.
2 The name or symbol of one god who judged or betrayed you.
3 A forgotten divine domain you once embodied (Time, Storms, Fate, Light, etc.).
4 A memory of the mistake that led to your downfall.
5 A prophecy hinting at how the seal might be weakened or broken.
6 A warning that regaining your power may endanger the world.

Feature: Echo of Divinity

Though your true power is sealed, the world does not treat you as entirely mortal. Your presence carries an unnatural weight—subtle distortions of reality, an instinctive unease, or a sense of destiny that others cannot explain. Those who are attuned to magic, religion, or ancient lore may recognize that something divine still lingers within you.

This feature does not grant direct mechanical benefits, but it allows you to gain narrative leverage with temples, cults, scholars, and supernatural beings, who may offer aid, seek your favor, or attempt to manipulate you.
