The Machiavellian Image

You believe that power is not inherited, but taken. While others rely on honor, lineage, or brute strength, you rely on leverage. You understand that the world is run not by laws, but by those willing to break them. Whether you were a spymaster, a corrupt advisor, or a blackmailer, you have learned that the ends always justify the means, provided the means remain a secret.

Ability Scores: Constitution, Wisdom, Charisma
Feat: Insidious Charm
Subtle Gaslighting.
You learn the Charm Person spell. You can cast it once without expending a spell slot, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you cast the spell in this way, it is cast at 1st Level. You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level.
Imperceptible Influence. When you cast Charm Person, you can do so without any components (Verbal or Somatic). To the observer, you are merely speaking normally or making eye contact.
Veil of Rationalization. When you cast Charm Person using this feat or a spell slot, you can expend one use of this feature to mask the magical influence. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest. When the spell ends, the creature (or creatures, if upcast) does not know it was charmed by you. Instead, they rationalize their helpfulness as a mood swing, a lapse in judgment, or simply liking you more than they realized.
