Feared Veteran Soldier

You have experienced both hell and glory on the field of battle and lived to tell the tale. Your harrowing experiences have taught you much about warfare. You have had many roles, from brute force soldier to executioner, and lost many friends along the way. You have learned how to survive on the battlefield through pure grit and fortitude. However, it has left scars on you along the way. You are not to be taken lightly, and when you step on the battlefield, your presence is felt by both friend and enemy alike. The scars and/or your name have been mentioned in scary stories about the wars. Whether it be warcrimes, brutal show of power or a relentless force on the battlefield that won't go down. Mentioning your name in certain circles, cities or guilds will be followed by shivers. This can help you with Intimidation and/or Persuasion checks.

When you choose this background, you must choose one battle scar that you earned on the field of battle. This scar can be mental or physical in nature, and a brief description of how you got it and why it's important to your character. Earning that scar should be a major moment in your character's history and a key source of past trauma. 
Feared Soldiers earned reputations for being unstoppable, often fighting against overwhelming odds or with unique weaponry.

Ability Scores: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution

Feat: To add versatility to the fighter build there are 2 feats to choice from for your Feared Soldier;

Savage Attacker: 
You’ve trained to deal particularly damaging strikes. Once per turn when you hit a target with a weapon, you can roll the weapon’s damage dice twice and use either roll against the target.

Tough: 
It takes grit to stand in the vanguard and toughness to do it more than once. You have stood at the forefront of many battles and have the scars and tales of valor to prove it. This has hardened and marked your mind and body. You have a toughness that few other warriors can match.

Your name still brings fear to some;  

Presence of Fear:
You look and act intimidating towards any enemy or ally, You gain proficiency to Intimidation and proficiency to persuasion.
Once per a long rest, you can cast Fear on 1d4 creatures within 30ft.

Skill Proficiencies: Athletics or Medicine and Intimidation

Equipment: Choose A or B: (A) Shortbow, 20 Arrows, Healer's Kit, Quiver, Traveler’s Clothes, 12 GP; or (B) 50 GP
